    June 15-16 2019: Trinity Sunday

     

     

    Dear Parishioners,

     

    Welcome to Father Will Matthews SDB, Australia-Pacific region Salesian Provincial, with us for the weekend.

     

    Please pray for the repose of the souls of recently de-ceased parishioners Stanslawa Nowak and Vaclovas Vladicka.

     

    First Communions: Congratulations to our young parishioners receiving their First Holy Communion this weekend. Congratulations and thank you to their parents for their support in the preparation. Thank you to Stella and Steven Buhagiar for conducting the classes and to Stella for coordinating the programme.

    We pray for our First Communicants.

    First Reconciliation Parent Information Nights: are on this Tuesday 18 June and Thursday 20 June at 7:30pm. Children who have not already made their First Reconciliation will not be admitted to the First Communion programme next year.

     

    Corpus Christi Procession: After the 10:30am Mass on Sunday June 23, feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ, we shall have our annual Eucharistic

    procession up Swanston Street, down Collins Street and into the MacKillop Centre, where, after a short period of adoration, we shall have Benediction. Afterwards there will be a shared luncheon, and Communion Breakfast for the First Communicants. All parishioners are invited to this public profession of faith and shared meal with our First Communicants. Please bring a plate to share and leave it at the MacKillop Centre before the 10:30am Mass.

     

    Church roof plan meeting: Last week the architect commissioned to plan the new church roof and ceiling sent an email outlining plan and costings. I have invited him to meet with us and he is available on Wednesday June 26, 7:30pm.

     

    Parish Finance Committee and Parish Pastoral Council members will be present, and parishioners are invited. Let me know if you would like to attend. If there are only a few interested, we shall hold the meeting in the presbytery; otherwise in the church.

    June 18, 20:  First Reconciliation Parent Information Nights, 7:30pm.
